Editorial policy

Source hierarchy

We prefer official federal, state, and local government publications. Secondary sources may help identify anomalies but do not silently replace an official value.

Automation and AI

Automation and AI may help inspect documents, draft code, or identify review candidates. They may not invent figures or become the source of a published financial fact. Numeric outputs must trace to a registered source, deterministic transformation, and automated test.

Publication and corrections

Builds fail closed on invalid schemas, missing provenance, broken links, or required-content failures. To report an error, email [email protected] with the page URL, figure, and supporting source. Material corrections trigger a rebuild and data-version update; we do not fake freshness by changing dates without a real review.
